Type of workouts we generally do is Yoga, CrossFit, Weight lifting Or a Marathon. But have you ever thinking about Yoga vs Weight lifting or CrossFit vs Marathon.
The KEY is CONSISTENCY - Everyone is unique and have different preferences. Important is to find something that excites you and work for you to maintain your consistency.I have seen dreams of many people shattered. Those people were enough capable and shows immense potential. What do you think that happens.... Reason is simple "IN CONSISTENCY". Many people get excited at start, making plans and set goals. They get really into it, but soon they loose strength. Not PHYSICAL STRENGTH. Something more powerful.. "MENTAL STRENGTH". Their mind tired before their body and they GAVE UP.
No one knows what you are capable of, EXCEPT YOURSELF. Keep fighting. Fight for your place in history. Fight for GLORY. Never ever give up.If you start comparing Yoga vs Weight lifting or CrossFit vs Marathon then again there is no logic. Every workout type has different purpose and different goals.
The workout or exercise can be categorized into Strength, Cardio and Stretching. Today will talk about two categories cardio and Strength. Running and weight lifting are two of those categories respectively.
Running - A Great Exercise
- It targets cardiovascular endurance.
- Increase in heart rate during your run.
- Burn calories while you run, but not after.
- Very portable and approachable for everyone.
- Build you strength
- Improve performance in other sports like running.
- Burns calories after you are finished weight lifting.
- Recommended is to have 3-5 resistance training days a week.
- Weightlifting not restricted only to the gym with dumbbells, barbells and machines.
- Using your body weight is an another way to create intense resistance that is working your entire body
- CrossFit or Insanity are good body weight workouts - you will feel your heart rate increase with these kind of resistance training.
- If you don't like weightlifting, consider it as added bonus. It will strengthen your core which ultimately helps you in other form of exercises.
Is it good to do running daily for more then an hour?Don't overkill your self. How long or often you run. Are you overdo this?
Again..Its dependent on person to person.
- If you are not training for a specific race then no need to do run for longer distance everyday. On an average you should run 5 km per day.
- If you are more prone to injury and your body built doesn't support running long-distance on a regular basis, reason is simple. You haven't trained properly for those longer distances.
- For beginners, it is recommended is to start with shorter distance and gradually increase your running distance 10% every week.
- If you can easily run for an hour means your endurance is good and you need longer distance to challenge your self. For a beginner, if you have time constraint and don't have an hour but feel that 6-7 km are comfortable distance for you now, you should try intervals running.
Interval Running boosts your cardiovascular endurance and improve your performance by working on your fast and slow twitch muscle fibers
You don't have to be perfect... But you have to be consistent. Just keep going! Failure is not an option. As long as you are alive, your story is not over my dear friend your story is not over.You will see many obstacles to regular exercise, whether you are a beginner or you've been exercising for years. Exercise is not same for everyone. Start slow, give yourself enough time to grow
